  • We recommend you pair this piece with a rug pad for comfort and longevity
  • Due to its handmade nature a 3% variance in size, color and texture is to be expected.

The Collection

Introducing the second collaboration between Amanda Jane Jones x Revival, this washable rug collection takes us back to a land before FaceTime. Inspired by her children's imagination and love for dinosaurs, author and illustrator Amanda Jane Jones imbues each design with a captivating storybook charm. She worked closely with our design team, who selected the best weaves and textures to bring her sketches to life.

The Design

Delightfully soft yet tough against tumbles and spills, this collection marks an evolution in washable wool rugs for dinosaur lovers of all ages. Big, bold, and built to last, each prehistoric friend is constructed using a high-low weave technique that creates a detailed relief pattern. Perfect for eclectic interiors or your little one's playroom, bedroom, or nursery. The Bronto rug's monochromatic color scheme is punctuated by animated electric blue accents.

The Material

Unparalleled for centuries, wool has a hydrophobic layer which repels dust and dirt, as well as lanolin, which provides its trademark luster and protects the fiber from breaking or shedding. The Dino Collection is woven with a combination of New Zealand and Indian wools, that give this collection a soft, satisfying footfall and pleasing weight.

The Maker

We partnered with a small, family-run weaving house. They're Craftmark-certified, which means they meet stringent national standards for socially responsible handmade products. Many of their weavers have been with them for as long as 30 years. To visit their factory is to be steeped in its personal history, from the walls of photographs honoring their lineage, to the majestic, hundred-year-old timber looms they still use today.

  • Clean on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment (no spinning brush) only.
  • Lightly vacuum the rug once a week
  • Use a high-quality rug pad to absorb shock and reduce damage to the pile
  • Hot tip: when you receive your rug, put it in the dryer for 10 minutes on low heat to remove any creases.
  • When it's time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on a delicate setting with 1 TBSP of unscented, clear detergent.
  • Wash rug separately with mild detergent on a gentle cycle at 86°F. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry low; remove promptly.
  • For sizes 6'x9' and 8'x10', we recommend using a 60-lb washing machine ( the large kind you find at a laundromat) rather than a home washing machine, which is usually 20-25 lbs.
  • For sizes 9'x12' and above, spot cleaning is best.
  • Be sure to wash rugs according to their recommended washing machine size capacity. Please note: failure to adhere to size recommendations could result in damage to your machine.
  • A slight shrinkage of up to 5% can be expected for all washable rugs
  • The first few times you wash your rug, there will be some fluff left in the washing machine. Don't be alarmed; this will lessen and ultimately stop. The yarn continues to open after washing, making the rug fluffier with time.
  • Due to the hand-crafted nature of our rugs, you can expect to see light shedding, matting, and signs of fiber and thread breakage over time. For high traffic areas, these effects may occur more quickly and easily.
  • Spot cleaning instructions:
    • Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
    • Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
    • If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
    • Repeat this process until the stain is removed
  • From time to time you may spot tiny flecks of dried hay or grass woven within the fibers-traces of the grazing pastures where the sheep once roamed. These can be removed by hand or with tweezers.
  • Because this rug is made from natural wool rich in lanolin, it may release a subtle sheep-like scent when damp. It's simply the fiber's natural character, and it will disappear once dry.
