Our washable Lune collection is inspired by the linework of artists M.C. Escher and Jeremy Moon, whose tessellated patterns add dimension to a flat rug. Our team played with repetition and asymmetry to highlight the weave’s texture, which combines raised motifs with a recessed ground. Modern and warm, Lune’s abstract glyphs and non-directional geometries make it easy to style from any angle.
The DesignDrift’s neutral palette is contrasted by densely layered glyphs with subtle movement.
The MaterialFrench for caterpillar, chenille is a velvety material created by twisting short pieces of yarn, called piles, between two longer yarns. Ours is made with durable polyester for easy vacuuming, spot-cleaning, and machine washing. Soft yet sturdy, it’s both mildew and stain-resistant.
The MakerOur partner is an established weaving house with over 40 years of experience. They’re OEKO-TEX® and GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, meaning they meet strict standards for textile safety, as well as environmental and social practices.
The DesignerOur in-house, all-star design team works across Los Angeles, Istanbul, Bhadohi, and Mumbai. Starting with the weave itself, they determine the collection material, technique, and mood. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and hue before it goes to production.
- When it's time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on a delicate setting with 1 TBSP of unscented, clear detergent.
- For sizes up to 5' x 8' we recommend a 4.5cu ft home washing machine, for 6' x 9' we recommend a 4.7cu ft home washing machine, and for 8' x 10' we recommend a 5.4cu ft commercial washing machine. Please call your local laundromat ahead of time to determine if the right washer size is available.
- For sizes 9' x 12' and above, spot or dry clean.
- Be sure to wash rugs according to their recommended washing machine size capacity. Please note: failure to adhere to size recommendations could result in damage to your machine.
- If your rug is heavily soiled, or if it's tough to find a laundromat, dry cleaning is recommended
- A slight shrinkage of up to 2% can be expected for all washable rugs
- Spot cleaning instructions:
- Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
- Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
- If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
- Repeat this process until the stain is removed
- Clean on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment (no spinning brush) only
- Lightly vacuum the rug once a week
- Use a high-quality rug pad to absorb shock and reduce damage
